Why this WoW Forever class quiz is different
Forever is in beta. The level cap is 20 to 30, no raids are open, and Blizzard is tuning classes weekly. Every "best class" list you can find right now is a guess dressed up as a ranking, and the guesses disagree with each other. So this site does not rank on numbers that do not exist yet. The fun quiz matches you on class fantasy, leveling feel and race options, which are known. The strongest quiz rates what each class's kit can structurally do, across all of its specs, which survives balance patches.
Every fact on the result cards traces to Blizzard's official posts, Wowhead's Forever guides, Icy Veins or Warcraft Tavern, checked on September 26, 2026. Where something is still unconfirmed, the card says so. When Wowhead publishes tier data for the live game, it will be added, and Pro owners get that update free.

It depends on what you want out of it. If you want the class you will enjoy most, take the free fun class quiz: ten questions about how you like to fight, travel and group, scored against all nine classes and their new race options. If you want the class that is strongest for how you play, take the strongest class quiz, which weighs whole classes across every spec on ten dimensions instead of guessing at a tier list. World of Warcraft: Forever is Blizzard's third permanent version of WoW alongside Retail and Classic, announced at BlizzCon on September 12, 2026. It is the game players called Classic Plus: the original Azeroth with new zones, nine new dungeons, new raids, reworked talent trees for all 27 specs, six new race and class combos, a new race called the Skyborne, and 600 new profession recipes. Blizzard chose the name Forever and describes it as evergreen, with the level cap staying at 60.
WoW Forever launches on November 4, 2026 at 3:00 pm Pacific. The beta runs from September 17 to October 21, 2026, with a level cap of 20 rising to 30. Beta access comes with the Skyborne Epic Pack, the Warcraft Forever Collection, or a Battle.net opt-in. The first raids open on December 9, 2026. Forever is included with a normal WoW subscription; only the Skyborne race requires a paid pack.
Yes to both. Undead Paladin is a new Horde combo and Dwarf Shaman is a new Alliance combo, so both classes are available to both factions for the first time. The other four new combos are Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Orc Mage and Troll Warlock. Tauren still cannot be Paladins. The new Skyborne race can be Shaman on the Horde side and Mage on the Alliance side.
Not a meaningful one yet. The beta is capped at level 20 to 30 with no raids, so nobody has level-60 numbers, and third-party lists contradict each other. Blizzard's stated goal is that all 27 talent trees are viable for dungeons and raids. Icy Veins and Warcraft Tavern both name Hunter as the easiest class to level, with Warlock close behind: a pet tanks for you and Feign Death or a Voidwalker forgives mistakes. Beta players report Paladin as the strongest leveler so far, and Paladin can also tank or heal, which means instant dungeon groups. If your time is limited, a class that can tank or heal skips the group queue, which is where most short sessions are lost. Warrior is the hardest class to level solo.
Paladin has the only full official writeup: Holy Strike at level 6, Seals that survive Judgment, a tank taunt through Seal of Fury, and Consecration and Blessing of Kings baseline. Survival Hunter is now a melee spec. Enhancement Shaman gained Maelstrom Weapon and Elemental gained Lava Burst. Warlock demons now scale with your gear. Druids get Wild Growth and reworked Balance. All 27 talent trees were reworked with a new milestone talent at 16 points.
